Immigration Museum Excursion
17 February, 2019
On Friday 8 February, our students in Years Five and Six visited the Immigration Museum. They learnt many things about the nine million people who have migrated to Australia since 1788.
During the visit they unpacked a number of suitcases that contained items immigrants brought to Australia at different times and from different places. They also worked across the Sandbridge bridge which contains sculptures that represent the different periods of migration to Australia. This excursion was linked to the students’ inquiry topic of ‘Identity’
