Year 5/6 Summer Sports Gala Day Report
07 March, 2025

Please read our student reports from their Summer Sports Gala Day.

On Friday the 28th of February, the Year 5/6 students went to the Summer Sports Gala Day. We had three teams – kickball, tennis, and cricket.

In cricket, Thinu was the captain and Jessie was the co-captain. We played against other schools such as Parkhills PS, St Scholastica’s PS, and Weeden Heights PS. Although we lost some rounds, we enjoyed it a lot and it was lots of fun.

Weeden Heights PS won the cricket by the end of the day. I believe that Aaron, Vihaan, Thinu, Jessie, and David Fan tried their best and did a fabulous job for the cricket team.

On Friday the 28th of February, we had our Summer Sports Gala Day. Tennis was one of the sports played. The captain was Charlotte and Elisha was co-captain. The people in the tennis team were Renee, Mikkel, Alvin, James, Sophie, and Yinuo. Each person played 6 rounds and each round had a doubles match and each round was 8 minutes long. The schools we played against were Parkhills PS, St Scholastica’s PS, and Weeden Heights PS.

Everyone had really good sportsmanship. Our team had lots of fun and placed 2nd  in total. Overall it was an amazing day and very fun to be with other schools. Also thanks to Miss Banks for organising the day!
